One van down is an inconvenience. Two down in the same week means missed deliveries, a canceled patient transfer, or a shuttle run nobody can cover.
The scramble to rearrange routes eats a day nobody planned for. Sprinter Gurus runs maintenance programs for businesses that operate several Mercedes-Benz Sprinters.
Fleet work is one of our specialties. Every fleet is different. We put together a plan built for your vans so the group stays organized and each one is systematically taken care of. The alternative is fixing whatever broke this week, then whatever breaks next.
Tell us about your fleet through the contact form, and for any van that needs work now, include the vehicle, its license plate number and approximate mileage.
→ Factory-recommended Sprinter maintenance
Fleet vans get the full Sprinter work list. That means oil changes, fluid replacement, DEF (diesel exhaust fluid, also sold as AdBlue) service, brakes, suspension, tires and wheel alignment, batteries and diagnostic inspections, with engine, transmission and clutch repairs handled here as well.
One parts standard applies to every van. We fit OEM (original equipment manufacturer) parts unless you ask for a high-quality aftermarket part instead.
→ Sprinter van oil change service
Per-mile budgeting turns maintenance into a line item you can plan. AAA’s 2026 Your Driving Costs study puts maintenance, repairs and tires at 11.7 cents per mile for a new vehicle in personal use (AAA Your Driving Costs 2026). Treat that as a personal-vehicle benchmark, not a fleet budget.
Your own numbers are the ones that count, so track cost per mile for each van. When one Sprinter costs noticeably more per mile than its siblings, it’s telling you something about its brakes, its suspension or the way it’s being driven. Outliers deserve a closer look. Fast.
→ The math behind preventive Sprinter maintenance for fleets
Your drivers spot trouble before anyone else does. Ask them to report dashboard messages and changes in how a van drives: rough shifting, a pull under braking, a new noise, a smell that wasn’t there yesterday.
Small changes count. Pass those details along when you request service, along with roughly when the problem started and whether it shows up cold, hot, loaded or empty.
Two warnings can’t wait. A check engine light can point to a failing sensor, an emissions problem or a misfire. And DEF needs topping up with Mercedes-approved fluid when its light comes on, because ignoring that warning can lead to starting trouble.
A spare van that sits for weeks is the one most likely to greet you with a dead battery. The causes range from a battery in poor condition to a failing alternator or a parasitic drain, meaning something that keeps pulling power after the van is switched off.
Spares need attention too. If one keeps dying, have it checked before it strands a driver mid-route. Batteries rarely fail at a convenient time.
Each job leaves its own wear. Fleet Sprinters do very different jobs, and we understand the demands each one places on the van. A delivery van stops and starts all day, which is hard on brakes, while a transport van covering long stretches of interstate piles up miles quickly between visits.
An ambulance can’t miss a shift, and a passenger shuttle carries people who expect it to show up on time. For fleets based nearby, the drive is short. Peachtree Corners is about five miles from the shop, and Lilburn roughly six.
